Creating a realistic page curl effect is very easy but, requires patients. To start, lets add a picture into photoshop; in this case I am using Photoshop CS5. This is done by a few easy steps and a couple styling techniques.
Once the picture has been added, unlock the background by double clicking the lock, this will allow further editing. Now head over and select your Rectangular Marquee Tool and make a selection at any corner of the picture. Once you have the perfect selection press Command/CNTRL + T, then right click and press Warp. While warping we want to make sure that we don’t over do it, bring your bottom corner to a comfortable position. Now press Enter to confirm the transformation and press Command/CNTRL + D to deselect.
The next part is the most tedious and should be taken slowly. Grab your pen tool and make a selection around the exact curl (See video for more detail). Once we have a nice selection, make a new layer. While still using the pen tool, right click and press Make Selection. Then click on your new layer and fill the background to White. This can be done by pressing Option/ALT + Delete.
So far so good! Now we are going to style our new page curl; start off by double clicking our new layer. We are now going to add a Gradient Overlay and a Drop Shadow. First Click on Gradient Overlay and fill out the following settings.
Now we are going to move on to the Drop Shadow to make the curl look like it rises above the image. Fill out the following settings.
Thats it for the curl, now we are going to select the actual image and style that with a drop shadow as well.
The final product will look great! You have now made a very nice page curl effect in a matter of a few simple steps! Enjoy!

I don’t know what software you’re using, but there is no “Warp” function in CS 5.
I am using CS5. Make sure you have the right layer selected, press “v” (to use the move tool), press Command/CNTRL “T”, right click and then click warp.
