In the great sea of apps in the App Store, you may find several apps that a Twitter addicted person, like myself, can use.  But I am here to help you narrow your choice down to three apps that work very well in their own ways.  These three include; TweetDeck, Twitterific, and Tweeterena 2.

TweetDeck (Free)

This app is my favorie for one main reason:  Real Estate. This app breaks down into columns, displaying two columns at a time in portrait and three columns at a time in landscape. The font size if similar to what you would seen on an iPhone or iPod touch, I like this becuase it uses that iPad’s size to it’s advantage. While your iPad is in portrait you can click on a Tweet to see it in a larger font at the top of the screen. Also, you can click on any link and it will open within the app. Hopefully by the time iOS4 comes to the iPad this fall you will be able to go to a web page and then back to TweetDeck with out ever going to back to the homescreen (Multitasking).  Still with TweetDeck, you can do all of your normal Twitter Actions (i.e. favorite, retweet, reply, ect.).

Twitterific (free) and Tweeterena 2 (free)

These two, although are great Apps, are just not for me.  However, you could like them a lot more.  Essentially they are the same app.  They both display tweets in a larger format than TweetDeck.  I personly hate this.  The screen on the iPad is big for a reason, and it’s not to just make iPhone apps look really good on the 9.7 inch screen.  But if you like the way that these two apps are displayed, then by all means, use them to the fullest.
